Fit for a king, your new Zardosi Crown Wall Art will deliver a spiritual element to a wall space. This wall art is inspired by the traditional style of Zardosi, which is an intricate Persian embroidery technique typically done in gold and silver metal. Ours is embroidered with bullion thread and features delicate beads throughout. Profiled in a gold wood frame, the ornate crown is outlined with the verse from Isaiah 28:5, "In that day the Lord Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people." This timeless, decorative piece pairs perfectly with our Zardosi Isaiah Cross (T10632).

Barley & Board About Us Page
Longtime residents, Sparky Pearson, Steve Watkins, and Earl Herrington along with Chef Chad Kelley, Musician/Entrepreneur Eric Pulido, and Photographer/Actor Jason Lee partnered to open Barley & Board, a locally driven gastropub influenced by seasonal and fresh, high-quality ingredients in harmony with handcrafted brews, located in the heart of Downtown, Denton, TX.
There is something to be said about uncovering the history of a space and then dreaming up a new chapter of what it can become, all the while preserving its integrity and collaborating with the spirit of what it was once before. Much like people, the history of a building can tell many stories. When searching for the perfect location to unveil the culinary talents and aesthetic artistry that is Barley & Board, embracing Denton’s rich history was a key factor in selecting a location. The building in which Barley & Board resides was once the Lacy Hotel, the first hotel built in Denton County in 1858 by Charles Christian Lacy. Lacy, a Public Land Surveyor, named the original streets of Denton, including Oak, Hickory, Locust, and Elm. The original brick interior walls have carefully been excavated and brought back to life to help tell the story of Denton's past, while creating an environment in which the restaurant sits perfectly. By reputation, the Lacy Hotel was said to offer the best food for those traveling between Dallas and Ft. Worth as well as the Oklahoma and Arkansas borders.
We strive to provide the same level of excellence to the community.
Barley & Board is the culmination of creativity, hard work, and tenacity from a team whose driving force is centered on community, craft, and collaboration. With the help of Chef Chad Kelley, we are bringing our own culinary passion and flair to Denton. [Insert quote on Chef Chad Kelley’s B&B culinary skills.]
The restaurant's fare showcases a New-American style cuisine, offering an array of small and large plates. Featuring a full bar that includes 36 beers on tap, which highlight Texas breweries, this fine gastropub offers in-house brews as well as an assortment of craft cocktails and wines. “We feel the inspiration of Barley & Board is community driven, highlighting the finest craftsman in the culinary, brew and visual arts. Through that, we will always aim to lift up our artists and nurture an environment where people can come together and share in a truly outstanding dining experience.” – Eric Pulido
We serve lunch and dinner daily, and offer brunch on the weekend. Join us for Happy Hour (4:05 PM–6:05 PM), Monday through Friday, with special musical guests on Thursdays (4:35 PM-6:35 PM).
Blog Post for HR Cloud’s App, Workmates
Encouraging a Workmates Culture: Company Announcements
Sparking a Sense of Community, One Post at a Time
At some point, we’ve all been pulled into a meeting or a quick company pow-wow to meet the new hire or to congratulate a colleague on a promotion. And while welcoming a new team member aboard or congratulating a co-worker on a job well done as a collective group adds a sense of community to the company, schedules often conflict—leaving key members to be absent. These usually-impromptu gatherings seem to work well for smaller, more intimate teams. However, communicating effectively and efficiently with larger groups tends to be a little more difficult, and important information such as announcements of new hires, employee promotions, and even simple day-to-day messages tend to fall through the cracks as another skimmed-over email.
We know communicating with your workmates can at times present a challenge, especially when you have an ever-evolving team. That is why we here at HR Cloud eliminated the stress of organizing a company-wide event for a simple message and created a function within the Workmates app to send a Company Announcement with just a few swift clicks.
How It Works
Let’s say your company has a new hire or a promotion of a colleague they’d like to announce. Once the employee has created a Workmates profile, the HR Admin or hiring manager can retrieve their information—including their name, the picture they’ve selected, their position within the company, their geographical location, the first few lines of their About Me section, and a link to their Workmates profile—and create a Company Announcement. This announcement will post in the Workmates feed, informing employees of what’s new. However, when announcing a new hire, the HR Admin will be unable to tag the employee in this initial post, though they (the employee) will receive an email that the announcement has been made. Each post made by the HR Admin, etc., will include a Company Announcement banner and will automatically be a pinned post to ensure the announcement(s) reach each engaged employee in a timely fashion.
Though the functionality of the Company Announcement tab works well for engaging employees in announcing a new hire or a colleague’s promotion, it isn’t its sole strength. The Workmates app’s Company Announcement function is a great way to announce:
A company-wide half-day
Holidays – office hours, etc.
A company retreat
When Girl Scouts will be selling cookies in the office (There is great merit with this one.)
Other important information you need to effectively and efficiently relay to employees
Engaging In a Workmates Culture
In today’s world, keeping your employees informed while keeping them engaged is a different beast than it was 15+ years ago. With the rise of social media platforms, businesses are finding the need to stay connected to, as well as integrate practices of, the latest advancements in the tech world. According to Statistica, in 2016, 78% of Americans had some sort of social network profile.
Recognizing the need for this type of connectivity in the workplace, Workmates incorporated social media aspects in its functionality. For instance, when an employee is tagged in a Company Announcement, other employees are able to “like” and/or comment on the said post. With each notification of a “like” or a comment on the tagged post, the employee becomes more and more engaged. This type of inclusivity creates and fosters a sense of belonging for the individual within the team.
Communication is key, but communicating effectively and efficiently while encouraging company engagement unlocks the door to creating and retaining well-informed, auspicious workmates.
